The Creston News Advertiser has an opening for a reporter. While most hours are during regular business hours, some evening and weekend work is required.

This is an opportunity for a reporter to cover local news, write hard news, enterprise and news feature stories with some photography and video.

We are looking for a good writer who is self-motivated, enterprising and persistent, to work with a bright, energetic editorial team. The coverage area includes five counties in southwest Iowa with the office based in Creston.

The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of Mac computers, PhotoShop software and AP and news writing styles. This person must be able to balance priorities, work well under pressure and meet daily deadlines.
